As we carry on through 2023 bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, the vision for ARC couldn’t be any clearer. The recently released Vision Statement describes the current and future objectives of ARC, and clarifies the community's purpose and meaning for all stakeholders.

  • As a members-only community, ARC is connecting the most impactful and influential in the Global Asian Diaspora to contribute ideas, resources and networks towards a first-of-its-kind Social Venture Studio.

  • We will retain what makes private members’ clubs appealing by building a highly-connected, thriving community experience and layering it with NFTs to coordinate the interests of our members towards the projects that derive from the Social Venture Studio.

‌Recap Of Town Halls

With market sentiment on the uptick since the horror stories not long past, the ARC team has been conscientiously building a community that connects the most impactful and influential in the Global Asian Diaspora.

On Feb 1st, the highly anticipated ARC Stellars Town Hall provided members with the latest updates of the team's recent endeavours.

Here are some of the highlights from the conversation:

  • ARC Playgrounds. The tender for a physical location has been submitted and the community should be looking forward to receiving updates very soon.
  • Launch of Vision Statement. The ARC Vision Statement intends to serve as the foundation for members to align on purpose, goals and model for community building.
  • Elevating brand visuals. A brand design agency and Creative Lead has been hired to spearhead the artistic direction of ARC, and ensure consistency across all media and communications.
  • Stellars PFP. A few agencies were hired to dream up some ideas for the initial concepts. One of the options was shared as a sneak peek during the town hall! We’re comfortable with this design, and you can see it in all of its magnificent glory only on the ARC app!
  • Focus areas for H1. The first co-created project, planning several face-to-face events and activities across the region and bringing more Stellars with a city acquisition outside of Singapore were noted among the top priorities for the first half of 2023. On this, Gab and Elroy will be travelling to: Hong Kong (late Feb), Los Angeles (NFT LA, late March) and Tokyo (ETHGlobal Tokyo, mid-April). If you’re able to meet them in these different cities, give the team a holler on the app and they will add you to the group chat for more deets, or check out the Group Chats wall!
  • Thank you, and looking to the future. The ARC team would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to “the unwavering support of our Stellars in the last months.” Many more plans are in the process of being developed and the team is looking forward to a bright and prosperous future for the entire ARC Community.

‌Recap of Build with Us!

Build with Us (BwU) is “a series for the ARC team to work with the community to develop and build together.” Discussions will be used as a guide to develop ideas with the intention of growing various aspects of ARC (app, branding, community, etc.)

‌‌The BwU meeting was a tremendous success and an integral step in aspiring to achieve the ‘value creation through collaboration’ axiom that ARC embodies. Stellars provided valuable input and helped shape the way the app looks, feels and functions.

Speaking Engagements

ART SG

Elroy recently spoke at ART SG, Southeast Asia’s largest ever art fair, visited by thousands of collectors, curators and industry leaders from Singapore, Asia Pacific and beyond.

On stage alongside @claracxw, @DarrenSRS and Steven Sacks, the ARC co-founder commented that “Web3 technology has opened up a new world of possibilities for digital cultural infrastructure, enabling anyone to become a curator of their own digital galleries and exhibitions.”‌

QCP Capital

Gabe and Elroy were invited to share their thoughts on what’s in store for the ARC community in 2023 and beyond with QCP Capital in the QCP Quips series at the Singapore Fintech Festival.

The duo spoke on the trends they’re most excited about, including Game-fi, utility-focused NFTs, lifestyle experiences, culture and the evolution of the space, as well as the remarkable feat that ARC has accomplished by being able to “pool a group, a community of members with aligned values, belief and purpose.”

UNTAM3D

Elroy was out flying the ARC flag once again, this time at the first UNTAM3D event of the year. He imparted his wisdom on such topics as education in Web3 and the part the metaverse will play in that, the potential of AI, Web3 being an equaliser, and his positive outlook for the future. Two delightful community events have been held since our last issue! Tezos invited the ARC fam to the "Living System: An NFT Show", the first exhibition powered by a public blockchain to display an Asia-centric NFT collection at S.E.A!

Attendees were able to snag a unique digital souvenir from one of the featured artworks! Many thanks to Stellar @kathyjah for organising the tickets to the community!

  • On 4 Jan, we welcomed @oppawannadoyou to host the first Pyxis voice chat of the year. Titled “A Builders Podcast”, he brought in the Founder from RoachPunk NFT and the Founder of Web3tess @CrownT for a discussion on the in’s and out’s of building a Web3 project.
  • On 10 Jan, we were so lucky to have the guys from Pukecast come and spill the NFTea for the ARC Community. They deconstructed different NFT case studies, shared some moments of '22 and discussed their market predictions and forecasts for 2023. Massive thanks to @rainbowpuking and @Wacky for coming in. Their experience in the Web3 media space really made the voice chat an epic one.
  • On 18 Jan we were blessed with @girlfrancessg's Pyxis Talk Show takeover where she covered 'Creative Approaches to Mental Health in Web3'. Ana 0xtherapist and Koko, a psychotherapist and Founder of Therapets, joined as well to give their insight on the space and how mental wellness is interconnected.
